Personal Use License: International, royalty-free, non-exclusive, personal use license meaning: unlimited multiple use, any media (digital or print), and any geographical location with no expiration date for personal, non-commercial, use only.

Permissions: Purchased low resolution image with logo may be used for personal purposes only, not allowing generation of revenue stream under the following terms and conditions:

·        Education: Purchased image may be used in any educational materials, crediting the photographer, by students in printed and online assignments and, by teachers and educational organizations strictly in educational materials, excluding revenue-generating marketing materials.

·        Online: Purchased image may be posted online in social media platforms for personal use only, crediting the photographer. Purchased image may not be used in a promotional or commercial context. Any commercial use is prohibited without the photographer’s authorization.

·        Sharing: The customer may give the photo to another individual, but may not sell it. He/she may not give it to an organization, so that the business can use it in its communications or on its website, because this constitutes commercial use, related to marketing and public relations.

Limitations: The photographer automatically owns the copyright and the moral rights of the image and remains the first owner of the copyright as per the Canadian Copyright Act. Note that the photographer is selling a licence for use and not the copyright to the image. Crediting the photographer is a must with a personal use license. Photographer reserves the right to re-sell in a non-exclusive licence. No future royalties have to be paid to the photographer for personal use other than the original purchase price, unless the customer requests a future commercial license.
