Landscape image taken at Lakeside Park in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada at sunset. The water level of lake Ontario this Spring (2019) is the highest ever recorded. The tree trunk of the lone tree is submerged in water but the tree has plenty of leaves to hopefully survive. A big red crude oil tanker is docked by the pier operated by Petro Canada Lubricants Inc. located nearby. Around 1950-1980 a company that produced baked sewer pipes operated in the area, therefore, the beach features red terracotta pebbles that are remnants of baked sewer pipes crushed by erosion of the lake waves. This image looks pretty at a first glance but it simply proves that humanity is transforming landscapes, seascapes and the environment.
